Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Broward County Criminal History. Opening a page, reading its content, or submitting a search means that you accept all terms stated below. Do not continue to use the resource if you disagree with them.

NO FCRA USE. Broward County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. Neither the resource nor its advertising partners supplies a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or any other decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). It exists to identify Broward County and Florida criminal-record access channels and is not a private investigative firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference resource operates independently of every government office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves them, performs official checks, or files papers for a user.

Its content identifies Broward County custodians such as BSO, the Broward Clerk, FDLE, and the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Search. Certain pages also provide access to independent research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the resource in violation of federal, Florida, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass a person through information found here
  • Use site content in a lending, hiring, housing, or insurance decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Deploy a bot, scraper, or other automated collection tool against the pages
  • Interfere with performance or prevent another visitor from using the resource

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information reached here or through a linked tool may be used for stalking, intimidation, harassment, threats, or discrimination. Florida law places specific limits on misuse of the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Search, including restrictions in §775.21. Registry access is for lawful safety awareness, never vigilantism or improper exclusion.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Broward County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background reports. Its advertising partners likewise do not offer tools here for job-applicant screening, rental review, insurance pricing, or credit judgments. Data from the resource or a linked tool may not be used to:

  • Set insurance terms or evaluate creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

If a regulated purpose calls for a report, obtain it through an authorized FDLE process or a provider that is FCRA-compliant for that specific use.

5. No Legal Advice

Content on the resource is not legal advice. General Broward County information cannot resolve how a warrant, conviction, charge, sealing provision, or expunction law affects an individual matter. That analysis belongs with a licensed Florida attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • A partner search result will be accurate or comprehensive
  • The pages contain no defect, error, or security weakness
  • Operation will always be available or uninterrupted
  • Information will be complete, accurate, and current at every moment

Criminal records change as charges are filed, dismissed, sealed, or expunged, so omissions and delays can occur. Nothing published here is an official statement from BSO, the Broward Clerk, FDLE, or another government body. Florida public access and redaction duties arise under the Florida Public Records Law, Chapter 119, including §119.07, while FDLE dissemination follows §943.053.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to BSO, court portals, Florida agencies, legal-aid organizations, and outside search services. Following a link leaves this resource for a service beyond our control. We accept no responsibility for its content, data practices, fees, availability, or terms, which should be reviewed before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Broward County Criminal History or its content partners own the text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, adapting, distributing, or creating derivative material requires written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for loss or damage arising from use of the resource, including reliance on information reached here or through an external service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the resource or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

These conditions are governed by Florida law. A dispute arising from use of Broward County Criminal History must be filed in a court located in Florida.

12. Changes to These Terms

These conditions may be revised at any time. A revision becomes effective when the updated text is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be modified only to the extent needed for enforcement.
